Microsoft has announced that it will continue with end-of-life updates in 2023 for its previous browser.
Internet Explorer, for older Windows versions, according to a Digital Trend report.
Although IE support was discontinued on the current version of Windows 11 on June 15,
Microsoft still allows the old browser
working on many old versions,
Including Windows 10 Home, Pro, Enterprise, Edu, and IoT.
And now the brand plans to start to quit
Support for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) on older system versions
These too starting February 14, 2023 as Microsoft said
on its page in the Windows Message Center.
And Microsoft has now announced its plans to award companies
and professional organizations time to move from Internet Explorer to a new browser,
Like the brand’s current Microsoft Edge,
Edge has been the company’s flagship browser since early 2020.
However, even the IE lifecycle expires in 2022
Both browsers were running on Windows computers.
So users had multiple options.
Microsoft is now warning that “the continued reliance on IE11
When Windows Update becomes available it could cause business disruption.”
